OMP "Style"Seats
Considerating these seats for my 80 SC for street and De use only.
They are the only ones I've found with the slot for 5-6 point harness, and it complies with European Directive 96/37/EC. Has any one had history or familiar with them...thanks, ![]()

Not familiar with the seats but I am with OMP products, they are normally top quality, I have used a three layer OMP race suit for a few years and I love it.

My race car uses an OMP seat, and my driver's suit, shoes, gloves, all OMP. Good stuff. With any aftermarket seat, what matters is how well it fits your backside. Go sit in one for a long time before spending big bucks and finding out too late that it is not comfortable for a long period of time. |

I have an ARS and HTC seats in my race car. New Cup cars are delivered with OMP steering wheel and seat.
That said, I know the OMP distributor here is not fond of the recline mechanism in that seat.... Not saying that is good or bad, but it may not be up to the same standards as their higher end parts. Cheers

If you SC is not your daily driver, than by all means go with these seats. But if your car is your DD, I would think long and hard. I had a similar Corbeau in my Targa, and while it was great on the track, it was a total PITA otherwise. That side on the seat bottom used to bark my butt cheek every time I got in or out. Great seat, but not very convenient.
If you decide to go with that seat, just be sure to use a seat-back brace(against your harness bar/roll bar) in order to negate the mechanism concerns that Jeff Alton has brought to light. Have fun!

Thanks for the feed-back, good stuff. Not a DD, only sunny days.
Now I just have to punch up the P budget, so one that I don't use any more...Cleaning out the barn...
