Engine Bay & Trunk Colour

What is the correct colour of the engine bay and trunk/boot. I have seen them body colour and black. I am referring to the early 911's (late 60's and early 70's). Did the colour change at some point? Thanks for any assistance.

69 was the last year that the trunk and engine bay were black. After that they were body color.

Thanks. Mine is a 1970 but was built in October, 1969. Is it possible that mine would have been black rather than body colour? It is black at present.

Could be possible. Can you check if there is paint underneath the black?
