Key won't budge. Tried everything. So before I attempt to rig a universal ignition switch (not knowing about the wiring), I would like to know if the following part can be swapped:
I've removed the ignition switch. On the back it reads: 8276/2 It has terminals no. # 50, #54, #15, #30, Po (whatever that means). 69 911 "Little Bull" ![]() |

Hello
You can replace the switch unit by every unit made for 911 from 1969 to 1997. The early ones will fit to but have a other connector on the rear. The switch unit is seperate from the key unit. Grüsse |

My unit has 11 "prongs"on the back of it. Currently, eight wires are supposed to attach to it. I'm concerned that I will not know what wire goes where on the back of a new replacement unit, when (or if), that time will ever come. My greatest concern is upon a possbile re-connection of a new unit, that the starter wire on the switch I might attach in the wrong location, or even worse perhaps fouling the connections up causing a short in a new unit! For now, "Little Bull" just sits in the garage.

I purchased one from this guy 2 months ago. Its new and comes with 2 nos keys as well. This switch is an excellent investment and yes it has all the same pin #`s as yours. The car I purchased it for is also a 69`. I paid $235.00 because I waited for the end and suffered some competition from other bidders. This is a no longer available part and originally sold from porsche for $375+ so by far its the best route to go. I would use buy it now if your not to late.

Hello
@HGP I´m irritatet. What is the exact build date from your car ? Do you have two batterys or one in the trunk ? MY 69 cars have one big socket to stick on. As long noone take that appart you don´t have to guess anything as the socket will fit only one way. Grüsse |

Hi Roland:
VIN, #278 off the production line year, 1969. All the Porsche catalogs I've looked at list the part as NLA. Further, if this means anything, the switch has a number on the front 22715. I seee know way I could even begin to remnove the tumbler off it's base. The switch is the NON-locking type. I have just posted on another thread requesting where to attach wires to terminals labeled ACC, IGN , as I have obtained a different switch with prongs, that I thus far can work my BAT, fuel pump, and starter (fired the car up today), but the other 5 wires I don't know whether they belong on IGN or ACC. The wires are all colored differently. Thanks... 69 911 "Little Bull" |

Hello
I always was thinking that the mY 69 got the lokable steering wheel and the key buzzer. However the 69 wireloom has a ready short wire interface for the switch. The numbers are the internal part numbers from the connector manufactorer ( Klöckner ). Grüsse |
