Fuel hose to acumulator leaks
How much pressure is on this hose? It is leaking at the crimp joint. Can I cut the crimp off and just use a fuel injection clamp?
Thanks jack |

CIS fuel line.......
Quote:
Jack, You could do that. But this fuel line is exposed to the engine heat and they old faster than the other section inside the tunnel. A prudent course of action is to replace this piece (section) with an appropriate FI hose. Stay away from mini-clamps and if you could crimp the fuel hose, that's the way to go. Or contact Len (BoxsterGT). He makes quality replacement fuel lines (no affiliation). BTW, this particular fuel line would be having 70+ psi most of the time but a blocked return line could cause the pressure to go up as much as 100-110 psi. You won't be spending much by replacing this critical fuel line. Keep us posted. Tony |

I'm just thinking of doing this till I can get a proper hose. I only have a month and a half of insurance, then car will be off the road. The hose looks pretty fresh, so I think it should be ok. It's a little bit difficult for me to get parts in a hurry here.
Thanks jack |

Regular inspection.......
Do the fix and keep a close eye on the fitting until you are confident the leak is gone. I would personally do the same in your case.
