Kudos to Boulder 911 owner sighted today!
Living in Colorado is a special treat as a Porsche 911 owner because these amazing little cars were designed in similar alpine conditions and are just made for this stuff. That being said, the weather around here gets affected by the mountains and changes rapidly...like this week where we had temps near 80 and then snow last night with temps below freezing.
When I woke this morning, it was to find a dusting of snow and wet streets. So, I jumped in my Tahoe and set off to work, my 78 tucked in the warm garage. As I stopped at the intersection of 55th and South Boulder road, I saw an absolutely beautiful condition black w/chrome trim long hood rolling on Fuchs in what looked to be 911T trim. It made my day to see that beauty out on a less than perfect morning, and made me wish I had taken mine today. He surely would have noticed and would have received a hearty wave from me! ![]() I'm not sure if the owner was a Pelican or not, so maybe he'll chime in. In any way I wanted to say KUDOS to him for taking his 911 this morning, and thanks for the car show on my way to work! ![]() Cheers, - Craig_D

In honor of that, I took mine out in 36 degree rain/snow to a car meet up with over a hundred other car nuts! We froze but the heat was awesome on the ride home! Gotta love backdated SSI headers!!
Here are some pics from today. ![]() Cheers, - Craig_D ![]() ![]()

Everytime I see a pic of your car, Craig, I am reminded to keep my eyes open for a duck for my SC.
Beautiful! angela

Thank you Angela and Al!
![]() This is an MA Shaw fiberglass duck tail that I bought from a Boulder Pelican and had it resprayed black. It's very nice quality and I thought that it really balanced out the chin-heavy look of my SC front valance with fog lights. Especially since I removed the bumperettes, giving the butt a shorter look. The benefit of better composure at higher speeds is really what makes me happy to have made the change. Thanks again, I appreciate the complements! ![]() Cheers, - Craig_D

My '69 is my daily driver... rain or shine.
![]() Everett, Washington gets a bit less snow, but still gets plenty cold. I've never driven another car that starts pumping heat into the cabin so quickly. I have a 2010 Jetta, but I just never want to drive it... funny, huh? Kudos to Boulder guy! -Dan

When I was living in Germany I put a spare set of BBS wheels with snow tires on my 911 and never missed a beat. The 911 is excellent in snow unless it gets too deep!

Lars aka Speedo, drives his little green targa year round. And he lives up Boulder Canyon, so his commute into town every day is not gentle in the Winter. You will even occasionally find it in the parking lot up at Eldora.

Thanks guys. I also love driving in the rain, and ended up doing some spirited driving along 93 from Golden, with a guy driving a modified white mid-eighties BMW 325 with a sticker on the back reading "I am the Stig".
I've seen his car before in Boulder.I've also seen Speedo's green targa in the winter! These cars didn't win so many rally championships because they're no good in the dicey stuff. I won't mention having to be Walter Rorhl to do that... I'm planning on going ice racing up in Georgetown this winter and will post if that comes together. Thanks also for the compliments on my setup. Mirrors are Vitalonis on stock flag stalks. Love them, although can't see too much from the passenger mirror, but convex lense helps. Here are some shots of my incredible 50 state emissions legal exhaust made by Hank Padilla of Hanksville Hot Rods. Those dual Magna Flow cats are big and took some creativity to mount them so well. Cheers, Craig_D ![]() ![]()

Wow. Could have fooled me. From that one rear 3/4 view shot, I honestly thought you were running a 911R muffler from M&K. Very cool.
