Door mirrors
Has anyone modified their door mirrors to the newer type.
According to the wiring diagram the switch is different, along with additional wiring. Just wondering whether anyone has say added a relay to the existing wiring to make it easier, and save threading new wires and buying and installing a new switch. Basically I bought some replacement mirrors from a breaker and was unaware that there were two types. As they are fitted now I would like to get them working properly. |

You don't say what year 911 you have, i assume you are running a '74 or later and want aero mirrors,
I did the RS America mirrors on my '86 but specified manual operation to save weight. In my factory 928 Porsche manual it explains how to update older 928s mirrors and the old to new color coded wiring to be connected. It surprised me that the manual offered that level of detail. I downloaded the e-manual off ebay for 20 bucks, i would start with a factory 911 manual if you do not already have one. It will take the guess work out. I don't have a factory manual for my 911 or i would look for you.
