Is this worth the $$ and effort?

What are your thoughts on this little product?

I like the thought of power windows and this seems easy enough, but would I be better served if I actually purchased all of the OEM stuff instead?

I installed the same kit on my '74 and all I can say is that it was a lot more work than I had anticipated.

I replaced it with the OEM parts last week from EASY after it finally stopped working, without any spare parts to repair.

I ended up retrofitting the late style scissor regulator on both sides which was much easier to install and in retrospect, what I should have done years earlier in the first place.

Cheers,

Joe

If you want power windows, I have a pair of doors that have the power window motors still in them. I believe they work. You can have them if you want, but it may take me a few days to get them out. Do you know if there is a different window mechanism or whether it is just the motor that has to be installed? Let me know if you want 'em.

i've been doing aftermarket window systems for years and i say........... go with the stock parts
some of the window kits are nice but there are many little things that need to be done perfectly to get good use out of them.

parts...

With the exception of the power window motors, switches, and instructions, what else will I need to to such an install?

Thanks in advance.
