Smile Breathing sound at idle

At idle, my 3.2 has a definite "gasping" or "sucking" sound (okay, I'm ready to get toasted for that description). The sound seems to come from the throttle area or center of the engine. The engine idles a little roughly but stable at 800. It runs fine at all speeds. But when it settles back down ot low idle, the beautiful rumble is disrupted by the deep breathing.
Any thoughts?

There are some hoses that attach to the back of the throttle body that may be cracked or disconnected. This may take care of your rough idle too if this noise is the result of a vacuum leak.

Cheers,

Joe
