Question 911 with 356 side mirror

Hello folks!

Looking for ideas for the RS project...

I ordered a side mirror from TRE... the 1974-75 styled mirror (also available from our host). But looking around I have seen a few more options... so I am a bit undecided...

Has anyone here used a 356 mirror on a 911? Specifically this one:

Since I will not have the fender fuel filler (going with through the hood fuel fill)... wondering how this will look on the car...

Anyone with photos of this mirror installed in their 911??

I was thinking of backdating my Flag Mirrirs to the 1974-75 Mirrors > (Available from our Host!)

Or, I like the Durant Mirrors on my 356, would look good on an early 911.

The first one you show is the one I am getting from TRE along with the center filled setup they sell. Since this car is not going to be following any guidelines, I thought I would find a few cool things for it, reason for looking at that 356 side mirror (also used on the VW Karmann Ghia).

I should probably post of the early 911 website to see if those folks have done something similar. Just want to see a photo to decide.

Wachuko, I prefer the look of the 72-73 mirrors on an RS replica; however, I used the 74-75 style mirrors on my old 73E for a number of years (both sides) for improved visibility. The made a big difference over the 72-73 mirrors and don't look out of place, either. I wouldn't want to go smaller with mirrors.
