Removing Elec. Connector on window motor

I'm trying to troubleshoot and odd power window problem and was reading Wayne's 101 Projects and it mentions reaching in the door to remove the electrical connector from the motor. Sounds simple enough, and I can easily reach the connector on the motor, but it's NOT coming off. It will move around a bit but there appears to be some trick to removing it that I'm missing. I have pulled hard enough that I'm worried its going to break. Anyone got any tips for removing this connector? It's the one with the blue and blue/black wires hooked up to the motor. It's for an '88 if that matters.
TIA

If I use the picture to jog my memory, there is a plastic tang with a hole in it as part of the body of the harness jack (not shown). This plugs into the motor and snaps over a pin on the connector body. I only have this picture showing the side view if the connector. You can see one pole/terminal and behind it the plastic pin. This plastic runs between the 2 poles to isolate them.

You will somehow have to lift this tang off of the pin while pulling the connector. If you can get a lite and mirror in there you'll be bale to see it, but probably not at the same time you are trying to remove it - it is a blind de-mate. I hope this helps.

I tried to draw it - the tang goes in the direction of the arrow while removing the connector (downward in pic).

Well...I think I give up! I can't seem to get this thing disconnected. On my car there does not seem to be a flap or anything to move past the "tab". I can see and feel the tab or extension in the above pic but there does not seem to be anything holding the damn thing on. It wiggles but won't come off.

Reviving this thread. I'm with 88911Coupe in terms of frustration. I took a photo of the connector, and it doesn't seem to feel or look like a traditional connector. I tried pulling and wiggling on it, as stated by 88911Coupe, to a point where I needed to give up before I broke it off. I took a mirror, light and a camera phone. I am amazed that I was able to take this picture but can't seem to figure out the connector... But that's for a different thread . Here's the snapshot (and closeup):

The Bentley is useless (says to disconnect).

I am just trying to figure out why, after doing the door stop replacement and changing the speakers out, the passenger side window doesn't work anymore. I quadruple checked the wires on the window switch. The driver side window still works fine. The driver side passenger switch doesn't work either though. I swapped the passenger door switch for the driver side window switch (on the driver door) and that worked fine (therefore can eliminate switch as culprit). I checked the red w/ white - it's getting 12 v. Next was to check the blue and blue black (which seem to run to the motor from the switch according to the schematic in the bentley). Each had 12v and would reduce to almost nothing once the switched was activated (seemed backwards to me but I didn't figure out how the switch worked). I figured I would then try to check continuity on the blue and blue black wires to the window motor and then test the motor itself, but can't seem to remove the connector to the motor. I was initially assuming a wire got bent too far to the point of breaking (I had to re-wire the door speaker wire)... Now I'm not so sure and thinking the motor may have bitten the dust...

Can anyone shed some light on this one?
