What are my buddies 16" Fuchs worth? Wan't em?
My buddy has a '79 930 with the original 16" Fuchs and he wants to change wheels. He asked me what he could get for them and I said I would consult the freaks. So what do you think?

Of course it depends on the condition such as road rash, true, discoloration, etc. I think those are 7's and 8's so fiqure between $750-$1000 depending on the condition. If the wheels are in need of restoration my advice is to send them to Weidman's Wheels in CA is adv can be found in Excellence magazine.

I am trying to get a hold of him so he can swing by. I'll take a couple of digital pics and post them later. Does anyone know what they are for width? I gotta say you people love your Fuchs. I didn't really understand till I took mine off and realized how incredibly light they are!

Len, The early turbos came with 7's and 8's. I think the 7's and 9's started on the 86 turbos but I'm not sure.
I paid $1200 for my 7's and 8's. They are fully polished and tires were included. Though the tires were old and hard A008's. The wheels were in excellent condition and I got a year out of the tires. I also have a set of track quality 7's and 8's that I paid $800 for last fall. (These could be for sale by the way if anyone is interested. Though one of the 8's has a ding (no cracks). See my gallery for pixs. Hope that helps with price range. If your friends' wheels are in nice original condition, I think they're worth at least $1K, probably more since everyone is looking. IMHO

Thanks, he will be happy to hear that. Also if someone has a set of "designer" wheels as trade I am sure he would be interested.

Like I said, I'll take 'em for a fair market price. Not looking for a steal, but would need to know if they are 8's or 9's on rear, and finish/condition, (anodized, polished, chromed, etc.). Let me know.
