Heart Break
Went to pick up my 88 911 white coupe this morning after having a 45,000 mile service and a new Seiko-seiki compressor installed.
When I approached the rear of the car I notice a nice protruding dimple on the deck lid. All Original paint...... NO Dings! The pulley on the new compressor burned and put a tit on the deck lid. Oh we'll just paint it. Tough to verbalize the emotion involved here. Mrdi |

there...there...
with todays technology of matching paint and non-destructive techniques, you'll soon forget.... remember it could have been much....MUCH worse.... ![]() ![]() |

Burned a hole in the paint.
Seems to me the entire deck lid will need to be painted. That entails removal of the script and grill. What about insisting on the Glasurit to match? Last edited by Mrdi; 06-14-2002 at 07:58 AM.. |
