Question non-cassette radio option?

Anyone know when Porsche stopped offering radio-only options? (ie, no cassette player).

Wondering if it's possible to have a Blaupunkt or Becker radio fitted in an SC with no mods required to the factory opening. And where I might find one.

A strange question I know, but would appreciate any info.

Regards

Hello

As long Blaupunkt sold pure radios you could order them. Ithink with the 81 or 82 MY the last pure Radio was skiped for the then new Heidleberg or Heilbronn. Not sure about US equipment.

Now Becker was always special order. Most optet for the top of the line Grand Prix with CC or CD. In 85 Blaupunkt introduced the dual tuner Berlin IQR 85 PCI wich troped the Becker adavantage.
