Glad to see your properly using that 930!

Is that Ray's turbo behind yours?
You should have taken the RSR up there and had some fun!

Isn't that yellow 917/30 the that was just built for the first time a few years ago from a spare frame and spare parts?

Must'av been fun.

Great clear pictures!! I like the 1st one the best (I think it is the misty/rain thing that's going on).

That beautiful 917/30 is indeed one of the spares built car- no race history= lower values, but what a ride! Looks like the Ferrari Challenge had quite a rain race too

Was a great weekend to be in Montreal - beautiful weather all except mid-day Saturday when the rain started at the very end of F1 qualifying (did make for some interesting racing for the Ferraris, Can-Am and F1600s). For those that made it to Crescent Street Sunday - did you see the early model 911 with carbon fiber bumpers, doors and hood? How about the mods to the interior/engine bay? I'll post pictures when they're available.

Yeah, that looks like the one that was detailed in an excellence article last year. I think it has a normally aspirated engine it it, instead of the 1100HP turbo one.

Awesome car, even without history, and "only" 600HP or so..

Yes, I do think that 917/10 was the one from Excellence and I believe I saw it at the 50th Anniversary celebration in Monterey back in '98.

Like you said, even with 600HP it is still an awesome car!

I had the opportunity to walk the support race paddocks just before the F1 race on Sunday and I can confirm that the 917 had 2 HUGE turbos properly mounted and working. This car qualified for the pole with lap times nearly 8 seconds faster than all other competitors. Very sweet sounds accelerating our of the Casino hairpin!

Chris - Section 5 on the backside of the hairpin. Great seats on the top row.

Chris,

What kind of time did yourself and Ray make this year on the trip to Montreal?

How goes the emissions testing of the 930? Any ideas or good news yet?

We were in Stand 24 section 6, Row Z... Must been 30 feet from you and didn't know it...

THis year it took 12 hours...

Haven't takin the 930 in yet, I think I'm going to "sell" it to my in-laws in southern IL.

Hey Mike the Mechanic,
That's me checking out your car. Very nice! We too had a great time in Montreal. Chris, how 'bout the karting? What a riot.

Here's a couple of shots...!@#%$@%$@##^$%%!!!!!!

Can someone please email me with specific instructions on how to get photos in here? Every image I have is WAY too large. Chris, how do you get the clear shots? multiple shots?

If easier, email me with a phone number and I'll call.

Thanks.

Hi Jeff! What a coincidence!! I can't believe you are in the picyure that I happen to post!! That is weird. I am in the pic too, the guy in the black shirt facing away, next to the kid with the tank top.
