How did The Racers Group do @ Le Mans?

Anyone have results for those of us that live in the dark?

Thanks!

First in GT class. 16th overall.

Not bad, considering it was their first visit.

It was neck and neck with the Freisinger Motorsport Porsche. I think one of the Friesinger drivers was having trouble with, uh, food poisoning.

The Freisinger Motorsport Porsche had to stop for new pads and discs. That was the difference...the Racer's Group Porsche won by less than a lap.

Amazing to think that after 24 hours the difference was 1 stop and less than a lap.

Congrats to both teams.

I think Freisinger and Buckler were the only GT teams with factory motors as opposed to the customer motors. The cars were incredibly equal with talented drivers on both sides. It had to come down to who spent the least time in the pits.

There were some driver interviews about driving Le Mans, especially in the rain and at night. These guys were really candid and expressed quite well their real fears. It was very good.
They also spoke about what impact the movie Le Mans had on them, to a driver it meant a lot as you can imagine.

Good for Kevin, first time to Le Mans and he wins his class. Not bad.

It's amazing that Buckler started out selling Porsche parts out of his garage and racing in the local races. It is a true inspiration to those who make their passion for Porsche their livelihood.
Congrats to the Racers Group.

That was AWESOME!!!! Rookie wins LeMans, the crown jewel of Sportscar racing!!! Nothing comes close to LeMans...Having it be a nailbiter to the end was the best. All the other classes(except for 675) were predictable.. Hats of to all the drivers and the crew!!!! Amazing....

I just hope that the ACO doesn't disqualify Kevin like they did the Dick Barbour team a few years ago on a technicality. The ACO doesn't like first-timers coming in and winning their class.
