Vintage 911 stripes
I'm seeking a photo of the late '60s/early '70s "Porsche" side stripes with matching stripes on the front and rear lids. Searched many photo collections in this forum and couldn't find one that showed the front or rear stripe. Preferably white stripes on a dark color (they came in black or white). Thanks in advance...

Thanks, cjannelli
Still can't find any photos of the (probably mid- to late-'60s) original scripts on the front and rear lids, which are very similar to the side scripts. Bob Tilton doesn't show any I could see (his rear lid script lacks the stripes). Anyone?

Are you sure there ever was a factory-applied front script? I don't recall one.
I do recall removing the ghastly side-scripts from my '70 E with a hair drier... Frank |

Speaking of side scripts...placement. Lots of different 'heights' on the sidescript.
What looks right to my eye on a longhood is the top of the script in line with the top of the bumpers...not below it. Was there a normal 'factory' height. The pics above demonstrate this. |
