I've read in previous posts that often the car needs to be re-lowered after installing new shocks. Is this true? If so, are there certain brands (eg Koni vs Bilstein) that is LESS likely to create this problem?

![]() If you replace with the same shocks you have now, you won't change the ride height. The reason for the height change is that gas charged shocks provide lift, and non-charged provide no lift. Bilstein are high pressure shocks front and rear and will provide around 40 lbs per shock of lift. Koni are high pressure rear, low pressure front with the fronts providing only about 10 or 15 lbs per shock. ------------------ ![]() [This message has been edited by Clark Griswald (edited 08-14-2001).] |
