If you find dirt roads you are truly in the boonies there.

This area of TX always has available dirt ranch/farm roads. Some of these offer the best driving. Yes, an outlaw rally type beater would be a blast. I have wanted to build one for a while.

However we are civilized and the ones worth driving are paved. Paige is about 1:20 East of Austin on HWY290. Its almost half way to Houston. The next town to the East is Giddings. There is a great restaurant with the best homemade Pie. Pretty cool Pub there as well on the opposite side of the town square.

This area of TX is mostly flat scrub land. Not much to look at. A few driving roads. To the West of Austin is much better visually and for driving.

There is certainly lots of large acreage available.

Are you going to the formula one race next weekend? I'm in Bastrop right now to ride in a formula 1 car tomorrow, and then next weekend I'm coming back for the race.

Sorry, Was thinking about Round Top.

Royer's Round Top Cafe and the Stone Cellar. Each on opposite sides of the town square.

You can usually find good eats in all the small towns of the surrounding areas.

We are having a Friday night gathering for the F1 race. Details under events on the Early S board.

Draco, Sounds like you have a mission that's taking you to Paige, if you're not set on Paige you might look for property in the Texas Hill Country. We're 1,700 ft. elevation, great country roads, and 10,000 great folks.
