Wachuko - I don't think you wasted your $ - I've been reading old threads for a week on engine stands and the consensus is that you'll reduce your risk of case warpage and other nasty side-effects by using the proper adapter or mount. It seems counter intuitive to me since the P201 and the adapter ring use two of the tranny mount studs as points of attachment. I would think that the universal head on most stands would provide solid support if all 4 mounting points are used, and some Pelicans have done it that way, but I'm not ready to challenge the forum experts on this. The good news is that slightly used P201 mounts are very quickly snapped up on the used parts forum. Good luck!
