adjusting mfi pump?

does anyone know how to correctly adjust the mfi pump? i see our host sells a few tools to adjust the pump. is it something i can do? im ok with motors. definitely not an expert. i can take it to my porsche mechanic, but i would like to learn how to adjust it correctly. thanks

You need to read the Factory Manual entitled Check, Measure, Adjust for the MFI System. I believe that a scanned copy is available online. Do a search and you will find it. Good luck, and have a lot of patience...

Start reading here.

Then, read all of this.

Most importantly: CMA2

The short answer is, tune up the engine first. Normally, MFI pumps are set for a motor in factory spec. About the last thing you want to do is start adjusting a pump for a motor that isn't otherwise running right.

You'd probably be better off describing your problem here once you've gone thru CMA2. There are some genuine MFI experts in this forum...me not being one of them.
