Thank you for sharing this information. Yesterday while poking around the engine compartment I noticed the electrical connector had become loose from the WUR. I clamped it back on and now she purrs like a kitten once again. Could it be something so simple? It looks as though the smoke generator is the tool to use for finding leaks within the intake systems for our CIS cars. I will keep this info close. |

With the WUR electrical plug disabled or removed, the control fuel pressure will remain constant and will rely on the engine heat to get to WCP (warm control pressure). One reason why you need a pressure gauge kit for fuel injection system troubleshooting. If you have a pressure gauge installed, within 30 sec. after running the test, you will find the problem (heater not working) or out of spec fuel pressure reading. A pressure gauge kit is a mandatory tool for fuel injection troubleshooting regardless what system you are working. Tony |
