I tried searching... but could not find a thread with step by step on how to do this swap.
Anyone that can share the process? Am I doing this correctly? Top barrel is 993, lower one is from my SC ('81) ![]() Cylinder lock shorter for the early 911 as you can see in the photos... ![]() ![]() Should I be using only the cylinder lock and end leg?? or just the cylinder lock? I don't see how I can reuse the end leg from the 993, can't bolt it down, unless I get a longer bolt... ![]() Looks like it is the only way this could go together... my old 911 cylinder lock with the end leg from the early handle... ![]()

And just for kicks... 993 cylinder lock does not work on the early door handles...can't slide it in all the way.

I took the internal apart to get them ready for when the handles are painted. I only have one of the internal parts... still looking for the driver side (WTB thread).
2.5 hex ![]() 8mm socket ![]() And it is out... notice the R ... side specific ![]() ![]()
