That is a beauty. I think you made the right decision! I think the 993 is the pinnacle of the 911 form and function.

Looks great in black!

Great car, tough to beat having one of those. Is this the same car that you were checking out at dealer a month or two ago? Looks clean at any rate.

Nice.

Of course, the one thing you'll have to get used to now is that you can't dream of owning a particular car anymore. You're at the top of the mountain; you've got to settle for simply being happy with the best there is.

Tough life.

Of course, I'm sure he can come up with a few ways to spend additional cash to make it a better dream

Really nice car. I really like the butt on that thing!

I couldnt sleep last night thinking about this car. Kinda makes me feel like a kid again. One thing is for sure, regardless of what year 911 we own, there aint nothing like a 911!

He meant the motorsound option. It's alot of nothing really, the outer airbox cover has some holes drilled in it and the mufflers are ever so slightly modified to give a howling note above 5000 rpm. It works - but adds no power. It's easy to retrofit onto a car without it by drilling the airbox. The factory motorsound has the chrome inlet trumpet visible in Big's photo.

One of my favorite 911s, in my absolute favorite color scheme. It's confirmed BigB - you're one lucky guy! You let anything happen to that car, I'm driving to MA and kicking your ass just on general principle. (j/k)

Thumbs up

Looks absolutely cherry, Big B.
Drive it for a few hundred miles, and post a little road test report for us.

Congrats Brian! I'm happy for you, but sad for Porsche. Why? Because I think you did buy the "latest greatest"...Let's face it guys, compared to a 993? The new 996 takes a back seat, aesthetically...And the pepper car? Well, best left unsaid...

Totally agree pwd72s.

Just don't say that on the 911-Rennlist. Someone is bound to rip you apart for making such a comment.

As one of my asian friends once said "Is that a nine-nine-sick?"

SICK ALRIGHT! IN THE GUT JUST LOOKING AT IT!!!

Wayne- you sound like my wife! A comment like that calls for an explaination so I will play along. The 03 boxsters are coming out soon, with the changes porsche has made to the base model they have sabotaged earlier years values. I deceided to buy a superb, depreciated 993. I just didnt fit with the boxster. I knew I made a mistake buying the boxster one month into ownership when I test drove my first 993. Enough said.

How to personalize it?:

Remove the engine & gearbox and replace them with an engine & gearbox from a totalled Turbo. (You can send me the old engine/gearbox - I'll cover the shipping costs off course) Then add a set of "Hohlspeichen" wheels from a Turbo, a complete GT2 spoiler/fender kit and a pair of GT2 racing seats....
