. . . to satisfy your Porsche fetish, which would it be? Assume that you are interested in 911s (rather than lesser breeds) and that you like the early cars (pre-1974).

What a great questions...and one that I have been dying to ask. Thanks for getting up the gumption.
I have been checking out a number of magazines and have avoided a few purchases because their content was more modern than early. I have found the following articles that, for me, define what I am looking for in a magazine: GT Purely Porsche - great article on a '68 911 T/R. Decent buyers guide for first racecar (a 911 SC 3.0) Excellence - really nice article on Father-and-Son 911 Racers ('67 911S & '69 911) Can't wait to see what everyone else is reading. /marc

Excellence, without a doubt. Subscriber for over 6 years. Only complaint is that it takes too long for a month to go by while waiting for the next issue!

Hi Keith. My SC is Almost famous as it has stared in 911 and Porsche world. Well actually it was about five years ago and on about page 33 but whose's counting.
It was a SC parked next to a tent in New Zealand. I think it was part of a owners story about a guy called Nic who sold his old SC and got sent photos by the new owner. You don't remember... ok. |

well it seems like this may be a reflexion of 911 owner style rather that what mag is the best...any shrinks out there in Pelicanland ...I did like the tech articles in 911 P World, but have less use for them now that I have 101 Projects and this BB to consult with.....

Excellence------I'll never forgive 911 & Porsche World for saying
my choice of 911 is crap and I should have bought a 912 instead. I've had this 2.7 leprosy engine complex ever since!!! Bob 76S 2.7!!!!arghhhhh |

911 & Porsche World, by far, though I get Excellence. The former is just more real and practical. Keith S: how about tracking down the 911S used at the beginging of Le Mans (Steve Mcqueen driving it) and doing a feature on it? I think we have the contact of who owns it now. Would be a great article....
Does anyone from Excellence hang out here? I'm guessing not.... |

Oh no! - I find my self in agreement with Wayne
![]() . . . though I too, have a subscription to Excellence. Aside: While 911 & Porsche World has been accused of showing a higher obligation of loyalty to their advertisers than for their readers; this sort of thing is more rampant (and obvious) in other P-mags. |

911 & Porsche World and I'm not just saying that because my car was pictured in there. Great magazine with good tech articles for older cars like mine.
