Toe in or toe out for stability

My 1984 targa I need more stability on High speed for 1/2 mile race and daily driving. Recomendations please. Toe-in, toe-out or straight??? Because at hi speed (over 75mph) is very untable at front in adition lower the front to 24.5"

Straight to 1/16" IN. Toe out will make the front end hunt and want to change directions.

My '86 is about 24.5" up front with 1/16" toe in for the rear and just under 1/16" toe in for the front. Tracks straight and true on the highway.

make sure the rear toe is good and you might add caster instead of toe.

You want toe-in, but not too much. I had a lot of toe-in and it made for easy turn ins, but was a bit "twitchy" at higher speeds on the highway. I then had it reset closer to neutral and the car is very stable now with a bit more effort for tight turn ins. Sorry, I can't remember the exact setting, but it was close to neutral.

Have turbo spoiler and front lip spoiler. Now im testing at 24.5" tall and a little toe-out. But for a half mile race and tomorrow I will test toe-in 1/16.

I recently got my car back on the road after completely removing all suspension and steering. When it was running I took it to the local 'generic' alignment shop and they ran the front at 1/16 toe out and the back close to straight. The result was a very twitchy ride. On the freeway the car would hunt around the lane, especially bad in cross winds.

I then took it to a Porche expert and he reset it to straight at the front and 1/16 toe in at the back. the car was completely transformed after that. Much more stable.

I can't remember the camber and caster settings of the top of my head but it was the toe that had the biggest adjustment.

toe in is more stable, toe out less stable, but better turn in. toe out would be good for autoX, i dont think i would toe out for a track.

Do not forget about the rear toe, if straight or out, it can get down-right freaky.
