Re-Indexing Torsion bar adjustment lever
Hello,
Do I need the front end jacked up to be able to Re-Index The Torsion bar adjustment lever? Thanks |
For the fronts or rears
|
lol...front
|
Yes.
Even with the adjusting bolts backed all the way out you'll need to lift the front a bit to relieve tension on the adjusters. -J |
Well, then Yes. By raising it you can loosen the height adjuster, remove the end cap and position the end cap where you need it to be.
|
Any tips on getting it off the torsion bar? Pics or links to other threads? I did do a search but it pretty much was all referring to the rear.

It depends if rust got in there and hydro locked it.
BFS should slip it right off but if the cap comes off with the T bar, then just remove it and use a large open end sacrificial wrench and sledge it off. Ask me how I know :-[ |
