Post Can anyone decipher this part code?

Can anyone decipher the code number on a black plastic part I found screwed to the inside of the gear lever console of my '87 carerra?

911 552 177 01

It's 4 inches long, 3/8ths wide and chamfered at one end. It clearly doesn't belong where it was stored.

Help me solve the mystery!

I looked it up and the only thing with that # I could find was called a "Stop" no year or other part reference.

It's the STOP that prevents the tape cassettes from dropping into the console too far. It keeps them flush with the outer edge of the console

Hello

One guess it is the "stop" mountet in the rear of the bin in the middle console. It is used as stop for the cassette holders or other items.

Hi Gerard,

go to the search function of the BBS and enter "exploded parts".
On 05-16-2001, Kurt V posted the following link:

http://www.msroadrace.com/Table%20of%20contents%20ALL.htm

There you find diagrams for the late (1984 on) cars.
For the early cars, you may want to check:

Best regards
