Steer better?

Hmm, if hardware is the same, then same

I like leather but it scratches easily.

I've never had a suede steering wheel before, just wondering if there's any pro or cons
compared to leather.

I use my P every day (not during winter)

Without gloves, your hand oils will end up smoothing the suede over pretty quickly. I would suggest leather for a street car.

Suede will let your hands black after some days.

Prefer leather.

Just my 2 cents.

You may want to get a spacer because the Momo wheel will be a couple inches from the dash board without it.

+1... I love the feel of a suede wheel -- for about a month. For a race car where you wear gloves the grip will be excellent. But that great suede feel will be gone real fast if you don't.

I love my Momo Prototipo in suede great grip and without gloves it's the best hand's down. My car is stricktly weekend back roads, autocross and track however. For the street, I'd much prefer leather.

I have a wood momo with perforated leather at the 3oclock and 9oclock positions. It has a very nice feel to it.

I have leather and the wheel feels great. Best steering wheel in any car I have driven - if I had my pick of wheels the world over I wouldn't want any different.

Of course, its my Porsche so to a certain extent everything is perfect.

Leather for a street car. Suede for a racecar using race gloves.

I have had both. The suede will not wear well -- the area you grip gets flattened and it starts to look worn quickly.

I'd definitely go leather for a street car (I replaced my suede with leather).

I like the suede...when it wears you clean it, suede cleaner and it's back to like new...have to do the same to leather to keep it supple. Much better grip with suede.

I believe its a "Momo combat knob". You'd have to ask Leland (SCWDP founder) for more info. Here's the post from 2002 when he put it in the car. He was the 2nd owner, I'm fourth.

He never did, obviously.

Long awaited interior photos
