Bumperettes
Need some help. Will the rear bumperettes off a 79 911 fit an 84 Carrera?

Don't think so, I bought a non 3.2 bumperette and it did not fit, it's a nice paper weight now

The difference is on the bottom, where the bumperette meets the valance.

+1 for javadog
2 things...you need to drill new holes in your old bumper and fill the old ones then the valance will interfere - options are: remove lower valance and run without it get an SC valance - drill new mounting holes for new location about 1/2 in further under the car, get it painted to match trim the bottom off the bumperettes bail on the project and have 2 new holes on one side of you bumper where your failed attempt will forever be reminding you that you should have asked more questions up front that last one was my option - (the big bumperette cover the new holes....nothing visual shows)

Only 930 bumperettes work with the Carrera valance. You can plug the extra holes with little plastic plugs from the hardware store.
Also look in PP F/S I think there was a euro rear valance on there fairly recently. |
