engine oil cooler leak

This will be my third try replacing the rubber rings that meet the engine block on the engine oil cooler.
Should I be putting some type of sealant on the meeting surfaces of the rubber rings?

Just make sure they have oil on them and that they don't get kinked when you align them up!

If it still leaks it could be a leak in the cooler it self! You could get it pressure tested at a radiator shop before reinstalling it!

Garage
I used a little dow 111 grease on them to keep them in place when putting it on. Same stuff is used on the oil tube o-rings. Worked well for me.
