my 76 fuel gage stoped working

Hi All,

The fuel gage in my 76 suddenly stopped and is stuck on 1/3
How should I solve this problem?

Odds are the plastic pice on the bottom and the nut have fallen off and are loose in your tank.
When it does that the float sticks to the side.
Well, that's what happened to mine....
Made a new piece for the bottom after taking the sender unit out of the tank.
Worked ok, then I bought a new one in the classifieds.
Sender can get all gummed up as well.
Pull it and check it out.
