I have 1990 911 C2 with Tiptronic transmission. Last year I replaced the transmision with a used unit from a '92 model after the tranmission oil cooler lines were damaged and I fried the original.
Turns out that the transmission I used as a replacement included an updated "neutral safety switch" (this does more than just control neutral selection - it is used to select all of the gears electronically, my mechanic calss it the neutral safety switch) So, I used the original neutral safety switch from the fried transmission because the one that came with the replacement transmission didnlt allow me to select any gears - I'm assuming that the electronics must match the central computer....) My question is this - Can anybody supply me with the Porsche part number for a 1990 911 C2 Tiptronic? I cannot manage to find a new or used replacement and the switch has become very unreliable - right now I cannot manage to select Reverse!!!!! All help will be gratefully received.... Doug |

OK,
Got the part number - "964-613-212-00" Now I find out that the part is only available in Germany and is a three week order. Any ideas where I could find this quicker? Doug |
