Identify this CV boot and joint model and year
Gents I need to identify this CV joint and boot any suggestions ?(the answer won't be complicated its just my lack of knowledge holding me back)
Flanges are 75 911S 4 bolt 2 dowel 108 mm diameter. Shafts are original 75S.Joints are 108 mm diameter and 32 mm thick originally 6 bolt but have a spacer fitted under the mild steel cover which blanks two of the bolt holes which are now used for dowels. http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1354830040.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1354830073.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1354830105.jpg Thanks in advance Andy |
Seems to me you answered your own question!

Gents, I really do have a problem getting the new boot to fit one of these CV's the 75 one supplied doesn't fit I returned it and have been sent another which also doesn't fit. Can I take it these are recognisable as 75 standard fitting and its my supplier who keeps sending the wrong part ?

If you mean it doesn't fit the flange try using a hair drier or something to heat the rubber up then slip it over the lip.

they have to be stretched to fit.

Thanks guys, but the boot being supplied to replace one I damaged when assembling the sahfts into the car literally does not fit. I've done loads of these in the past on a variety of cars. However I think I've solved the problem by buying a boot and tin flange direct from interparts using their part number...deal cheaper than the OEM or porsche specific aftermarket price too. Time will tell.
Thanks again |
