I found a small hole in the metal pipe that runs between the EGR Valve and the Exhaust gas filter. The hole is about 1/8" round. When the car is running you can feel a little air coming from it.
I do not know if my EGR system is still all hooked up or not? Can I weld the hole to fix the issue or do I have to replace the whole pipe. I am not sure what material the pipe is made of. It is silver is color. Please see drawing. Thank you in advance for your time and help,

Oh poop.
If you can feel a leak then it must be hooked up. Others in your circa will chime in. Just to test, can you put some exhaust pipe wrap to seal it until you can replace or even weld it? I bet a muffler shop could either weld it or fab one for you. Is it steel or brass, if brass maybe you can solder a piece of copper onto it??? Can you post a pic of the hole?

Put a magnet on it. If steel remove and have it welded up.
If aluminum/magnesium, I would suggest exhaust pipe wrap and clamps, ghetto but it should seal it up.

guessing it is hard to find... check the dismantelers?
as stated - some heat tape might get you through while waiting for parts to be found/replaced

Spoke with a Manager at a muffler shop and he thinks he can weld and/or blaze it to close the hole.

Could not find a muffler shop that wanted to touch aluminum.
So, I fixed it myself. I heard that Harbor Freight sells aluminum sticks for brazing. I bought a pack and closed the hole myself. Looks pretty good and I think it will hold up. It was nice because I only had to use propane (not mapp) to heat up the pipe. Working temperature is 730 F. So, if you ever need to fix something made out of aluminum, Harbor Freight is where to get the material. See link below: Aluminum Welding Rods - Pack of 8 Low Temperature Rods |
