New ignition system wiring woes Help!

My 2.7 911 ignition system died and I am trying to fit a new Crane Hi-6S system. Which is sort of mad for me because I am next to clueless in this department.
I have followed the instructions which are good, but the plug going into my old box had 3 wires two white and one red, it's the only deviation from the install instructions and I cant figure which to use one or both?
The car turns over and the red led lights but doesn't blink during cranking. That says the instructions is lack of a trigger signal.
Any suggestions would be a great help.

Merry Christmas to you all too.
