Thumbs up Classic 911s On MTV!

Have you guys seen the new Sheryl Crow video called, "steve McQueen." ?

It's awesome it has some footage of a Buillit replica and some GT40s and in one seen it has a few classic 911s racing against the GT40. A lot of it looks to be done on computer of course but still it's a great video. Check it out:

Finally our 911s get another display

Is that D. Earnhardt Jr. in the other GT40?

Wonder if they impossed on a PCA drivers Ed or PCA club race for the filming.

That is awesome. She just went up a few notches on my list. Nothing but some of the coolest cars. GT-40's are one of my favorite cars of all time.

Thumbs up

Cool! Ford should pick this up and use it as is for a TV commercial.

Ambitious oil-and-brake-cooling schemes. Now that's what I like to see in a music video.

I was talking to one of the cornermen at the last Fontana DE who said he worked as a track hand on that video. I found this out by asking him about the Sheryle Crow and Little E autographs on his hat. According to him, the P-car scenery was shot at Willow Springs and the actual cars in the video were driven. FWIW, I also saw Sheryle Crow w/ Little E at the last NASCAR event at Fontana. She is really tiny.

In the video, the fuchs on the classic white 911 racecar came off my friend's '74 911S. He sold them to the owner of that car about 2 months ago - as this video was being put together.

(too bad you can't see them)

I wonder if the video has any tie-in to a new movie that's coming out. I saw some preview for a Fast and Furious genre film that had a gulf-blue and orange GT40 (I assume a replica) that was blasting all over the screen. To be perfectly honest, I blanked it out because the movie sounded so bad, and this thread made it all come back.

ahhhhhhhh!!!!!

I saw taht preview too. I think that is for a show on FOX. Something about Undercover cops or something. I remember the gulf blue GT-40 going airborne in the preview.
