Any excperience with circuit breakers in cars
After numerous startup problems with a root cause in the fuse box, with a melted or blown fuel pump fuse, I'm looking at the D-Zug fuse box utilizing ATO type fuses.
They also mention support circuit breakers on their web site, so I found these manual and automatic breakers: Narva Blade Automatic Circuit Breaker - 10 Amp Circuit Breaker | Narva Blade Manual Circuit Breaker - 20 Amp I didn't know stuff like this existed for cars, so I'm curious if there is any first hand experience with circuit breakers in cars?

i see those sometimes in cars as factory equipment. but if your blowing fuses there is a reason.

The problem is mostly that things get hot due to small contact surfaces and oxydation. By upgrading to D-Zug Fusa box, I can use ATO fuses, or circuit brakers, bit sine I have no experience with circuit brakers I wanted to ask the crowd here at PP.

Fred Cook one of the members here makes those fuse panels. Must be re-selling at D-Zug.
Here's a link to Fred's post.: New ATO Fuse Panels.... $20 breaker or a $2 fuse, it's up to you. They both provide the same protection. One can be re-set, the other needs to be replaced. If you're blowing ATO fuses you have other problems.

we use them all the time in audio installations however the smallest one we usually use is 150a. makes it much, much easier to swap out components simply by flipping the breaker.

circuit breakers are used onelectric windows or power seats. they can draw too much current at times and the circuit breaker just resets.
i would not use them anywhere else. if things like lights and radios are blowing fuses, no matter what type, there is a reason. just fix it. if you have added lights or a big power amp, the wiring to these tings needs to be upgraded to wire big enough for the load. fuses are not in there to protect radios and lights, they are there to protect the wiring from too much current. put enough current through any wire and it turns into a light bulb, just before it catches fire. the 911 fuse box can be made to work. i removed each fuse one at time and cleaned the fuse contacts, removed the wire to the fuse, cleaned the wire and the screw that clamps the wire. youcould replace all fuses, i just cleaned them. i did this for each fuse. resistance builds up heat and causes voltage drops. keep things clean. i did auto electric work for a living for a short while and have been an electronics tech for over 20 years
