Porsche Funfest?
Has anyone ever been to one of the Porsche Funfests in Effingham. Il. sponsored by Tweeks? Is it worth going?
(sorry about mentioning a competitor Wayne, but this is the only swap meet I can get to in less than 2 days of driving). |

I think they claim to have a swap meet there don't they?
Keep in mind, Wayne's prices are, from what I have checked, much better than Tweeks so the reason to go would be for the other P-cars and swap meet. Maybe I should go and wear my Pelican shirt ![]() Closer to time maybe some of us could paln to meet there. Would be a blast! ![]()

I've been going for close to 15 years now, back when TWEEKS was in Indianapolis.
Good time, glad the swap meet is back. If Wayne sends me a shirt I'll wear it. Gave him some free publicity last year when one of the judges asked where I had gotten some of the parts for my car. I doubt they'll ask me again.....

I'll be at this as well. Will the swap really be worth attending? I went year before last and wasn't impressed...

Can anyone tell me how many Porsches really showed up last year? I've heard several conflicting figures.

As I mentioned, I didn't go last year, but the catalog-stated number of 375 seems close to accurate, if not a little low. The years I've gone, they seemed to be between 400-500; it's tough to keep track because lots of people only go for one of the 2 days, and lots show up without pre-registering. I've committed both of those on various occasions.
