8/9x16 Fuchs - comb. w. 930 brakes on SC

I'm thinking about buying a set of 8" and 9"x16" Fuchs wheels 951.362.117.00 and 930.362.119.00 (944 Turbo rear's and 930 rear's)

Is it possible to combine these wheels with the 78 on 930 brakes on a car with std. SC /Carrera flares ?

Can i use std. rear trailing arms without getting clearance problems between wheel and caliper ?

Can i go with std. hubs in the front, with these brakes/calipers without spacing the wheel
- if not - how much do i need ?

Thanks in advance !

yes, the front will be extremely tight to the fender lips as the o/s of the wheels is a bit less than ideal. The front 8 you are considering has an ET 23.3 I use 8 ET25 which is tight, 8 ET30 is much preferred

yes, no problem in back at all.

yes, In fact you have to use standard or equivalent low o/s hubs. The late 930 hubs will o/s the wheels too far outboard. Along w/ the std 911 hubs you will need a flat(0 o/s) rotor adapter(hat)

You can use oe '89-80 930 floating 304x32 hat and rotor assembly on std 911 hubs or an aftermarket flat hat on aftermarket 304x32 rotors
the front will look like this
911 hub, flat no floating hat aftermarket 304x32mm annulus

Yes yes and yes.

This is one of best set ups in my opinion. You can even use 993 brakes on this set up.

Bill, Thank your for nice detailed feedback.

My main concern was if the caliper bodies would clear in between the outer disc surface and the back side of the 951 wheel, but maybe your small adaptor make the clearance ?

951 7s will also work up front. My street wheels are 951 7s and 8s. You may want to look at tire options before going with these wheels. Street tires for 9s are getting hard to find....at least in the states.
