RUF wheel replica

I found a site that seems to carry a replica of the classic Ruf wheel. Does anyone have any additional information on these wheels? Yes, they are cast as the originals therefore heavy. However, for $300/$400 a pop they would make a nice street option. MGWW LLC Product 3

Ruf Replicas

Great find. They look good and reasonably priced.
I would love to see some pictures of them mounted or even a side by side comparison with some real ones.

Thanks guys. I'm hoping someone who has purchased a set will chime in and post a few pictures as well.

Regards,

John

Interesting...

Factory Fuchs & Ruf CTR type wheels are the only ones I like on older 911's. It looks like a relatively inexpensive way to get a different look.

Does anybody know where they're made? If it's a decent manufacturer, they should have a good market at that price point - I may pick up a set rather than refinish my Fuchs!

Hmmmmm. Interesting. Odd that they don't advertise in the 'usual' places (eg Excellence, etc)
No mention of offset, etc. Wonder if they're the same offset as the 'real' RUF wheels.

I paid about 1500 bucks for my real Ruf Classics. So the price difference is not that huge IMO. I only needed to freshen up the rim a little, there were a few minor scractches.
I'd pay a little more for real ones, every time.

When the real deals show up in the classifieds they seem to be 2.5k+ though, which makes these a potentially attractive option, at least for a street wheel (especially as 16 inch tire choices get narrower).

Yeah, you won't find them for that on this side of the pond.. most seem to think they're gold or something and thus the price is as "oh snap" sated.. around $2500+

I'd like to see some of the replicas also.. the price is realistic, and if they're quality.. that company should do a brisk business!

I'll sell them to you, for 3K

Just kidding, these are, together with Fuchs wheels, the coolest wheels to have for an impactbumper 911.

What sizes do you have?
I was lucky to find 8 and 9's (standard Carrera flares)

Mine are also with the denloc bead, but that doesn't really matter much. You can mount all types of tires on them.

So has anyone tried or seen these wheels? I'm thinking of ordering one to check clearances and quality.

Must be a US thing to make them so expensive. I paid about the same as Geronimo for my set. They were not perfect, but good enough to put on the car...
