Switch to MSD

My stock CDI coil has bit the dust. Rather than throw $160 at it for a new one, I'm considering upgrading to a MSD.
If so, is there re-sale value of my stock 3 pin Bosch unit ? It works fine. Car is a '74, 130k miles, west coast car, so no harsh winter use.
Secondly, should I upgrade to a 3.2 in the future, will the MSD sold by our host here make the transition?
Thanks,
-C

I don't think the MSD is really an "upgrade" stick with your original CDI get a new coil.
