power supply source to warm up regulator connector
On a 77 911 where does the electrical connector on the warm-up regulator get it's power from?
I have only one relay on the engine relay board. Is this the source? Should 12volts be continious to the connector when the car is running at all times and temperatures or just when the car is warming up or being cranked up? Thanx! L |

The WUR is control pressure all the time with 12 volts coming through the 14prong connector.

Thanx Bruce. I may also need a body and engine wiring diaghram for this year model as well.
The engine in the car is not the original engine. The replacement engine is from a 76 911 and the body is a 77. I now have a feeling that the big 14 pin connector from the engine to the chassis wiring loom may have a wiring mistake. I'm not getting 12 volts at all. Are these wiring diaghrams available here on the website? |

On my 74 the wur power comes from that round relay on the rear console. The relay gets its power from the blue alternator wire. The wur should see 12 volts when the engine is running.

14-pin connector.....
Quote:
LCOX, The 14-pin connector configuration for '76-'83 is basically identical with some very minor difference. Terminal #10 (14-pin connector-engine side) is the power source to FP,WUR, AAR, and TV (thermovalve). Terminal #10 (chassis side) comes from FP relay socket terminal #30. A better way to familiarize yourself with the wiring diagram for your car is use the colored factory wiring schematic and very easy to understand. In case you need a reference table for the 14-pin connector that describes the wire color, where the wires are connected, PM me your email and I'll send one to you. Tony |
