Post 993 MFS on Carrera Motor

Sportwagen Service in Germany offers a 993 Mass Flow Sensor conversion for 3.2 motors. See Porsche 911 World, August 2000. The conversion includes a new high flow cat, a new chip and the MFS and a few tweeks. The result in a euro motor is 265 hp, up from 231 stock, not bad.

Well I emailed and called them serveral times trying to speak with the elusive Herr Ziegler. The guy was never in. Finally after 2 months of this he said he would have to have the car in Germany. I wish he would have told me this after I emailed him in the first place.

Is anyone out there aware of anyone in the US who is doing a similar conversion? I already have have the euro pistons and many other goodies on the '87 and this will be the finishing touch.

Please email me if you have any information.

Thanks,

Pete

FVD offfers a similar kit but only claims 20hp. The North American distributor is Shatz Motorsport. This link is to their page re the MAF kit. If I were going to spend that much $ the FVD is the one to get.

That said there is near unanimous agreement among those with no vested interest in these type of products that they are worth at best 5-10hp

Bill thanks.

This kit is similar to what Sportwagen. The are also using large fuel injectors to accomidate the better fuel management.

BTW..I currently making 247hp so I think 265+ hp is attainable if I can find someone to do the entire package.

Thanks again,

Pete
