Porsche Crest Recaro Seat Installed Today (pic)

For almost a year I've been working on a project on my 82 SC. I've decided to unwind all the Club Racing race-prep and get it back on the road. This week has been a pretty successful week. I've gotten the door panels on and today I got one of the seats in.

I have a lot of pics of the project, I'll create a different thread at some point with a time line. However today was an exciting day so lets share! Up next are the orange seatbelts from Seat Belt Planet and of course the passenger seat!

I have always loved the looks of that seat since it came out... if it wasn't for that retro-look that I want on my SC-RS project, that would be the seat that I would go for... Man that looks great!!!

Nicely done. I just finished up a Recaro install myself, with red Seat Belt Planet belts pair to red RS door straps.

Thank you. The orange seat belts just arrived! I'll try to get them in today!

Stig,

Were your buckles in this position on your kit? They look backwards?

That interior looks great. Also love the belts.

Curious on some details related to the belts. Would you guys mind sharing exact color, width, any specifics I need to mention when ordering, cost and turn time?

You can't buy happiness, but you can buy car parts which is kind of the same thing.

Funny you should mention that. I had quite the back and forth with Seat Belt Planet over orientation. The buckle itself you can simply flip around, but make sure that the rest of the system aligns.

My turn around time was over a month, though there were some compounding issues. I can't find my ordering documents, but I think it was just "Red", built off the sizing of my existing belts and mounted to my original hardware with new retractors.

Looks like my total cost was $342 shipped for both sides?

Those seats are Recaro Sportster CS. Best street seat available, IMO. They are about $1400 ea. Spendy.

I believe all the questions have been answered. If, not those are Recaro Sportster CS. The seat belts are the 911 kit from seat belt planet.
