Signal Blinker Reset Question
I installed an aftermarket steering wheel (Momo Tuner) on my 88 3.2 with the correct hub adapter. Quick removal of the stock wheel and installation of the new wheel – no issues, drives great. Driving the car this morning I noticed that the signal blinker doesn’t reset after a turn is made. For example, for a left or right turn, I apply the signal blinker but need to physically put it back after the turn. Not a big deal but seems like a quick fix.
The signal and high and low beam functions work just fine. Just the signal reset isn’t working. I know I’ll have to fool with the signal switch but I’d like to hear if anyone’s had a similar issue and what the fix was. Thanks!

There is a ring with a tab on the stock hub you didn't transfer over to the momo hub. Look on the back of your old hub and you'll see what I'm talking about. Unscrews with 3 phillips head screws. Common to forget to put it on. Reason I know is I did the same thing.
So....No, you don't have to fock with the switch. Function is entirely mechanical not electrical. ![]()

Thanks Jim. So I'm holding the stock wheel in my hand before wrapping it up for storage, take a look at the tab ring you mention and say, "Hmm, wonder if I need this thing on the new wheel..." before putting it away.
![]() Thanks for the quick response! I appreciate it.

Make sure you orient it correctly (tab at 9 o'clock if you're looking thru the wheel...3 if youre looking at the hub) lest it not work on slight turns. Ask me how I know. lol

When I got my SC, could not figure out why the turn signals would not cancel. Turns out the guy who installed the MOMO wheel clocked the cancel ring at 2:00 not 9:00. Easy fix :=)

Okay, so I installed the original cancel ring onto the wheel at 9 o'clock, on the signal switch side, and ensured the wheel is properly secured. Still not canceling the signal. The cancel tab isn't reaching the cancel switch. The steering wheel and hub fit perfectly, but it appears like the tab needs another 2" to touch the cancel switch. I have a MOMO Tuner wheel with the extended L231 hub. Might be that the MOMO wheel has an extended cancel ring tab - longer than the original? Would make sense.

Mystery solved. The cancel ring that I ordered was incorrect as it has a shorter cancel tab. I ordered the correct one from Sierra Madre, part # 911.347.099.05 ($26.00).
