Clinky Clank Sound Yesterday

When I turned into my driveway yesterday, I heard an unusual clinky-clank metal sound. That's unusual, I thought, and just went into the house.

Then today, I found this in the street, right about where I had turned in.

Did this piece bust off my car? Or did it just stick to my tire and I brought it home?

It's definitely aluminum, and the bolt holes are mangled-stripped. Not by me, of course.

Any ideas? Recognize this fragment?

looks like part of a 97 Acura left bump-stop mount, not from your car.
