Question Spark Plug Fouling Question

I am thinking about selling my '76 912e here soon to put towards a '74 or '78 (cannot remember which year car is) 911 turbo look a like. The engine in the 911 I am looking at goes through spark plugs in a few weeks (used daily) this car was converted from Fuel Injection to 6 webbers then back to fuel injection again...it has went through plugs either way? What can cause this? How can is be corrected? How much cost? Thanks

if its fouling i assume its either way too rich or its oiled up.

if its sooty (dry) then its running rich and should be easily rectified with a few $'s depending on the cause.

if its oily (wet black) then its buring oil and may be rather expensive to put right.
