Question Help me decode this

What does the circled symbol mean; the ")-" ?
Does it mean that the wire is supposed to connect to the other yellow wire in this specific case, or does it mean something else?
Same goes for the two wires at the right - the black and the brown/white - where do they end up - they have the same symbol at the end.

I believe the symbol you indicate is a connector.
They are the sleeve and prong type....simply put....they are an in-line (join the end of one wire to the end of another) type.
Hope this helps
Bob
