I just know that you canīt mount the tow hook on your 3,2 because thereīs a oil line going along the engine.

Bought the whole kit (Front/Lift Pad/Back) last year.

It's going on this winter.

i imagine the "race only" is just a liability disclaimer. Alot of aftermarket companies are doing that so they dont have to go through all the ansi and iso ratings or whatever mumbo jumo associated with selling things for use on motor vehicles. Thats what i think anyway..

I've had one on our race car for the past 5-6 yrs. A few years back I extended it to clear the new muffler I was running.

Had one on my '71 (street car) for a couple of years, no problems. Took the car to a new mechanic and he said you need to take that off. Why ? Because (at least on mine) it hangs lower than anything else on the engine and if you go over a speed bump that's too high big problem. I thought about it for a couple of weeks and decided I didn't need the risk so took it off. I keep it in the car though cause it only takes 5 min. to put it back on if you need it.

Looking to get one of these for use on my 3.2 which is being fitted with f/g bumpers, headers and backdated oil lines

Has anyone used the tow functionality - any issues to report? any downsides?

Either looking to fit this or the rennline bumper crush tube replacement which is a bit more work but cleaner looking

Thanks in advance
SP
