ignition switch X wires

The ignition switch X port is really two ports with an X between them. On the back of the ignition switch, one has a red/yellow wire and one has red/white. On the front, there are separate ports as well.

1) Does the red/yellow wire only go to the power windows? (This is what I found from the wiring diagrams on this web site but I want to be sure.)

2) Does the ignition switch junction join the two X ports electrically or should there be a separate power wire in for each X port?
